Djokovic confirms Agassi and he adds 2 more people to his team

Novak Djokovic had a rather disastrous campaign in 2018. The Serb was meant to dominate the season alongside Andy Murray, but eventually, he succumbed to his elbow injury and a precarious form.

In 2017 Djokovic has won “just” 2 ATP250 (Doha and Eastbourne), and he had to retire against Berdych in the Wimbledon the quarters because of his elbow.  After the Championships, Nole decided to withdraw from the rest of the season to fix his injury.

This year has also been full of some other exceptional events for the Serbian that fired his entire coaching team in May.

What about 2018?

Nole is still recovering from his injury, and in the meantime, he is building up his new team. The Serb has just confirmed his collaboration with Andre Agassi that has started just before the Roland Garros.

Nole’s press office released the following statement

“We can confirm that Agassi remains the head coach while Italian Marco Panichi will take over as the fitness coach and Argentine Ulises Badio is the new physio. The only remaining issue is appointing a second coach, and that will complete the staff accompanying Djokovic in 2018.”

Let’s see if this will work.
