Zverev: “It was decent year for me”

Sascha Zverev had a smashing 2017. The 20-year-old for German started the season just outside the top20, and he is now ranked no.4 after he won 2 ATP1000 in Rome and Montreal. Everyone would have been absolutely elated with this season, but instead, Sascha called it “a decent year.”

About the decent year

During a recent interview with Omnisport, Sascha commented

“It was a pretty decent year for me, but it’s not over yet, and I hope I can continue to play as good or even better.

I have already won two Masters. I think that’s a great success. I hope I can win some more titles.

If I win in London [the ATP Finals], it will be my greatest achievement, but until now those two titles this year are my biggest success.”

Why Sascha is not amazingly happy with his season.

Probably, the German was not so convinced with his season because of his performance at the slams. Sascha reached the 3rd round in Melbourne, he crashed out in the 1st round in Paris, he reached the 4th round at Wimbledon, and he lost in the 2nd round at the US Open. The slam glory will definitely come…
