It doesn’t happen every day that the world no.1 wins only 2 games in a match. That happened today after Carolina Wozniacki trashed Garbine Muguruza 6-2 6-0 in the semi-final in Tokyo.

The match lasted only 60 minutes and the Dane was obviously happy with the result to comment

“There are some tournaments where you just feel good and do well almost every year and, for me, this is one of them. I thought I played a good match today.

In every match, you want to start strongly. After a tough match, yesterday and knowing Garbiñe was playing really well and aggressively, I was ready for it. I felt good out there, really comfortable.”
