Weird stuff from Karolina Pliskova.
The Czech has managed to briefly reach the world no.1 rank in July, and after just a couple of months, she announced the split with her coach David Kotyza.
Karolina and David started their partnership only last December, and they have won 3 titles in Brisbane, Doha, and Eastbourne before grabbing the world no.1 rank.
The communicate
Karolina released the following communicate
Thank you to Mr. Kotyza for all what he did for me. However, in some ways our opinions and points of view were different. We didn’t agree on how to develop my next strategy of the game.”
Apparently, Karolina will stay coachless for the rest of the season.
At 50 years of age, Kotyza is well known for the excellent job he has done with Petra Kvitova that helped the Czech to win 2 Wimbledon titles. Kotyza was also the Fed Cup captain, and he briefly coached Caroline Wozniacki in 2016.
