Australia 1 step from the Davis Cup final.

Australia leads Belgium 2-1 in the Davis Cup semi-final after Jordan Thompson and John Peers demolished Ruben Bemelmans and Arthur De Greef 6-3, 6-4, 6-0 in just 90 minutes.

We came out very strongly. PEERS

Soon after the match John Peers, commented

“We had a game plan, and we executed it perfectly. We came out really strong and sustained it from the start and was able to stay on top of it.

We had two tight service games of our own but were able to keep rolling.”

On Sunday, the Australians need a win either from Kyrgios (vs. Goffin) or Millman (vs. Darcis) to reach a historic final.

The last time that Australia won the Davis Cup was 14 years ago in 2003 during the time of Hewitt and Philippoussis. Lleyton wants to repeat that has a coach. He might not be that far from that.
