I think I played too many matches in a short period, with very little rest between the games. I had to get here, with the travel and limited preparation, and jump straight onto the court. In the end, there are always little discomforts that you need to try to treat in the best way possible,” he said.
Confidence in recovery
Alcaraz emphasized that he does not believe the issue is serious. “When I get back to playing, I’ll talk with my team, the physiotherapist will assess me and we’ll see how I’m doing. But I believe it won’t be anything serious and that I’ll be able to play on Thursday,” he commented.
