No much time to rest from the Roland Garros and the 2 superstars have to start their grass campaign.
Rafa will take on Lukas Lacko. The head to head is 3-0 for Rafa always on hard courts. The interesting thing is that Lacko won only 1 set with Rafa and it was 6-0 (!!!) in Doha 2011 (OK Nadal was not in perfect physical conditions that time).
Rafa shouldn’t have a problem in this match and in the next one to probably meet Berdych in the semis.
Federer will play Mayer. Head to head is 3-0 for Roger. 1-0 on the grass here in Halle in 2005 when the Swiss won 6-2 6-4 also in the second round. If Rogers wins he will take on Raonic.
This is not a major tournament, but it is an interesting one… for sure!
