Tommy Haas says Murray fakes injuries. Another controversy

This is definately one of the worst moment of his career. Andy’s tennis is clearly deteriorating and it seems he has completely lost any chance to win his first Slam. The press doesn’t talk anymore about the Big Four, but they mention only the Big Three (guess who is missing?).

Andy had another couple of blows. First, injury proned Tommy Haas publicly said in an interview to a German television that the Scott just pretends to be injured. “It’s difficult when you play against someone on the court like he is not well or injured. I find no one does this better than Murray. Sometimes he looks like he can barely move, then comes the trainer and he moves like a cat. I believe everyone knows this. People talk about it in the locker room. Maybe he would like to take some pressure off himself. He tells himself, ‘Maybe I have a niggle or a problem, I’m not feeling too well but I’m going to try it anyway.’ But he is such a talented player that he does not need to.”

To add insult “to injury”, Andy had also a disastrous loss in his first match in Queens where he lost to Mahut (world nr.64) 3-6, 7-6, 6-7. That was a bit embarassing given the fact that he was the defending champion, he was seeded no.1 and Andy is a myth in London.

“Djokovic isn’t playing the next two weeks,” he said, “so there is no need for me to panic. I lost the third set 7-6 in the first round of the tournament. It takes time to adjust to the grass courts. And it wasn’t like I got blown away and played horribly. Over the next couple of days, I’ll discuss what I’m going to do, whether I play one or two of the exhibition matches next week. It’s very, very unlikely I would play a tournament next week, but I’ll probably try and get a couple more matches.”

To be fair, even if he is not top ranked, Mahut is a good player on the grass and he had good results at Queens wher he defeated Nadal in 2007 and held a championship point against Roddick in the same year.

Still… Andy looks as lost as ever. We look forward for him to come back

Here there is an interview of a confident Murray.. at least before the match with Mahut.
