INJURY. Federer’s agent optimistic ahead of US Open campaign

Roger Federer was definitely not at his very best in the Montreal final against Sasha Zverev as he was clearly struggling with his back especially since the second part of the second set.

Unfortunately, Roger had to withdraw from Cincinnati for the same problem in order to be fully fit for the Us Open. But, will Roger be ready for the last slam of the year?

Godsick

According to Roger’s agent, Tony Godsick, his back will not be a major issue. During an interview with the New York Post, Tony commented

“He’s had this before. Hopefully, his back will respond, and if everybody’s healthy, he has as good a chance as anyone else. He’s never played under the new roof, and he’s the best indoor player in the world if that happens.’’

So, it’s pretty plausible that Roger will be back and if the rain comes… the maestro has a clear shot at his 3rd slam of the season.

HE WILL BE READY
