Genie Bouchard has been trying to find her way back in the rankings, and in the meantime, she is also enjoying her experience on tour and on Monday something special happened.
Genie was playing the first round against Lauren Davis, and during the match, the players and the fans had the opportunity to enjoy the rare event of a solar eclipse. Genie won that match, but she will remember this match for that special event.
Genie commented “I played during an eclipse and that’s the only time it’ll ever happen in my career. I think that’s kinda cool.”
Genie will face Agnieszka Radwanska in the 2nd round. The head to head is 3-0 for the Pole.
