Garbine Muguruza is winning more and more.

The Spaniard wasn’t satisfied with winning “only” Wimbledon, but she wanted more. Garbine had a fantastic run in Cincinnati after she dismantled the world no.1 Karolina Pliskova (6-3 6-2) and the world on.2 Simona Halep (6-1 6-0) before winning the title. 

After this incredible run, Garbine gains 3 places to be the new world no. 3 and she has definitely a shot at the very top of the rankings.

Simona Halep missed the chance to be the new world no.1 after she lost in the final against Garbine. The Romanian is now just 5 points from the very top (Karolina Pliskova). The US Open will be a very important opportunity for her.
