Rafael Nadal confirms that he will start the 2018 season in Brisbane. The Spaniard was happy with the choice he made this year to play the first tournament in Australia ahead of Melbourne. In fact, even if the Spaniard lost in the Brisbane quarters to Milos Raonic, Rafa had a fantastic run at the Australian Open to lose the title at the photo finish at the hands of a sensational Roger Federer.

In a statement, Nadal commented

“I’m very happy to be back, last year for me was the first experience and was very successful. The atmosphere is great, and there’s a lot of nice people supporting the event. I really enjoyed the experience.”

The Brisbane International will take place from Dec-31 to Jan-7.
