Simona Halep is once again inches from being the new world no.1

I just feel good. HALEP

When Simona reached the final four in Cincinnati,  she didn’t hide the fact that she wasn’t pleased with her tennis, but she was still glad for her results. The Romanian was much more happy and confident after she defeated Sloane to comment

“I played my best, I think, match on hard court so far,” said Halep after the match.  I think the match from yesterday gave me a lot of confidence, and since yesterday I started to feel the game, to feel that I can hit the ball.  So today was much better. I moved very well today. I just feel good.”

About being the world no.1

Then Simona added

“I think it’s something special to get No. 1 in the world,” said Halep, even though she noted that the race to the top ranking is filled with contenders.  “Everyone can get to No.1 now.  The ranking is close.  So depends on anyone.  But I am so close.  I really want that.  So we will see.”
