Federer withdraws from Cincinnati

Roger Federer was an extremely happy guy until he reached the final in Montreal without spending too much energy. It seemed as Roger was about to win the title in Canada without much struggle and he was about to be again the world no.1 very soon, but then something unexpected happened.

Unfortunately, the Swiss Maestro got injured to his back during his clash against Sascha Zverev, and he lost the final to also withdraw from Cincinnati.

I tweaked my back. FEDERER

Roger released the following statement

“I am very sorry to pull out of the Western & Southern Open as I always enjoy playing here.

Cincinnati has some of the best fans in the world, and I am sorry I will miss them. Unfortunately, I tweaked my back in Montreal, and I need to rest this week.”

Let’s hope that Roger will make it for the US Open!
