Roger Federer is definitely the most loved tennis player (and probably athlete) in the world. The Swiss Maestro has fans from all over the planet, and even if he is always at the top of the rankings, he always has a full support from the local crowd.
What happened in Montreal?
Roger was playing the semifinal against Robin Haase that in theory should have received the support from the crowd because he was the underdog and he was already 1 set down.
When Haase was about to serve, a fan shouted: “Come on Roger.” Robin with an amazing humor replied: “My name is Robin” making the crowd burst into laughter.
Eventually, Roger won the match, but probably the contest will be remembered for this episode.
