Kyrgios demolishes Troicki in 50 minutes

Finally, Nick Kyrgios has a performance that reflects the enormous expectations that the entire tennis community has on him. The Australian demolishes Viktor Troicki 6-1 6-2 in the Montreal opener in just 50 minutes.

I am doing everything I can. KYRGIOS

During the post-match interview, Nick reflects on the last few months and his physical issues. The Australian had to retire from the last 3 matches for a problem to his hip and the right shoulder.

“I’ve been struggling the last couple months with a bunch of things,” Kyrgios commented. “I just have to keep doing the right things. I’m getting a lot of treatment, trying to do my rehab every day. I’m doing everything I can.”

Nick will face either fellow #nextgen Tiafoe or Lorenzi in the second round. The impression is that the question mark is not who Kyrgios is going to face, but how he will feel physically and mentally.
