Rafa still has to claim his 7th title at the Roland Garros and… he is already on a collision path with Berdych and Federer at the Gerry Weber Open.
Staged at Halle, the tournament is considered as a preparation to Wimbledon with the Aegon at the Queens in London. (Here the courts are a bit faster thean the ones at Wimbledon).
Federer has signed a life contract with the organisation to participate to this tournament and he has won the tournament already 5 times.
This year’s tops seeds are: Nadal, Federer, Berdych, Dolgolopov, Raonic, Granollers, Seppi, Kohlschreiber.
Nadal should play Berdych in the semis. Federer should play Raonic in the quarters and then Dolgolopov in the semis.
The top match of the first round is home favourite Tommy Haas against Bernard Tomic.
A nice Federer – Nadal final would be a really good start of the “mini-grass” season.
