Zverev dismisses Nishikori to reach the Washington final

Sascha Zverev reaches his 5th final of the season after he dismissed Kei Nishikori in Washington with a clean 6-3 6-4 scoreline after breaking the Japanese once per set.

The German had a spotless performance especially in the first set when he conceded just 1 point on his serve. In the second set, Sascha dropped just 5 points on serve to leave absolutely nothing to his opponent.

I played a great match. ZVEREV

Sascha was elated with his performance to comment

“I played a great match. I played well from the baseline. I returned pretty well. Obviously, on my serve, I was holding serve quite comfortably, so I’m happy with how I played.”

The final

Zverev will face a resurgent Kevin Anderson that has defeated Jack Sock in the other semi final 6-3 6-4. The head to head is 2-0 for the German that has already defeated Anders on Washington 2 years ago in the 2nd round.
