Kokkinakis reaches his first ATP final

Thanasi Kokkinakis is getting there!

The Australian has been sidelined for a couple of seasons by injuries, but finally he is on his way back.  Still ranked world no.454, the Australian has managed to start his campaign in the Los Cabos main draw thanks to a wild card. Then the Kokkinakis has fought his way through the final after defeating the seed no.1 Tomas Berdych 3-6 7-6 (5) 6-4 following a 2 hours and 19 minutes fight to reach his first ATP final.

Thanasi was elated with his results to comment

“I showed some glimpses of good tennis this year, so to do that consistently this week in Los Cabos means a lot. I’ve had great support from the fans here all week. I love it here, and I’ll definitely be coming back a few more times.”

The final vs. Querrey

Thanasi will face Sam Querrey in the final. The head to head is 1-0 for the American, but this can go anyway.
