Earlier this year, the twenty-eight-year-old Bulgarian tennis star Grigor Dimitrov was gunning for the glory at French Open and hoped that his girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger could be his lucky mascot. However, as often admitted by Grigor, the couple shared a challenging long-distance relationship, as both had hectic schedules.
“It’s not easy. The schedules are very heavy. But she’s doing a better job than I am at being able to come to most of the places I’m at”, said Dimitrov in an interview.

The Bulgarian tennis star has been associated with many big names in the past. In early 2012, he began dating Serena Williams, and after reportedly dumping Williams, he started seeing Maria Sharapova by the end of 2012. The couple made the most of their two-year romance before they called it quit in 2015. During this time Grigor insisted that he only wanted to put on his focus on tennis.
He said in an interview: “Our paths split, we experienced wonderful moments together. I wish her much happiness and success in life and tennis.”

The former singer of Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger, however reportedly infuriated Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton by commencing a secret affair with Dimitrov (source).
Nicole and Grigor were completely besotted with each other, so much so that Grigor hinted at the thought of having children with her. During an interview with Sky Sports, he had said: “I would love to have a beautiful family one day, to win Slams, I’d love my kids to see me play before I retire.”
The media started assuming back in 2018 last year that the things got rocky between the two after Scherzinger posted a cryptic caption on her Instagram account that read: “I loved you at your darkest. Romans 5:8.”
While this seemed like this was the final nail in the coffin, the forty-one-year-old singer settled the rumours immediately by telling The Sun that: “We’re still together. Those reports were not true.”
There is no smoke without fire they say and all the news about Grigor and Nicole having split was doing the rounds, has probably come true.
They may still not have confirmed about their split, but the Hawaiian-born beauty has already hit the final nail by admitting in an episode of Australia’s Got Talent that she is indeed single. Of course, the episode is yet to air but here Nicole was found flirting with a male hunk contestant and swooning over the performance of another contestant, she eventually declared: “Come on, I’m single!”
Meanwhile, in a previous interview to The Express, Nicole already had confessed that: ‘My greatest weakness is – I’m a fool for love. A real sucker … The bravest thing I’ve ever done is loving someone and letting them go when you know it’s not healthy for you, or serving you. Then you’re finally loving yourself.”
