Elina Svitolina is having a fantastic run at the US Open where she has reached the quarters without conceding a single set on the way.

The Ukrainian is considered among the favorites to win the slam also because she looks in supreme form thanks to her strong regime.

The weight loss

Elina decided to start a program of a dramatic weight loss back in 2018 that changed completely her body. Unfortunately, some criticized Svitolina for the sudden change, but the Ukrainian confirmed that it was part of a plan. During a press conference, Elina commented:

“We all can see the difference and everyone has their opinion on anything. We’re trying different things with my team.

I’m trying to improve, trying to play better in the Grand Slams, that’s the main goal for me. We try to do something different, something that can help. If you don’t try, you cannot see the difference.”

Elina’s fitness has been magnificent to confirm that her plan to lose weight and reinforce her body with a strong training regime was a good one. In addition, it was quite helpful for her dating Gael Monfils as her boyfriend is also rather committed to having a proper fitness. However, sometimes, they have a different idea about their food intake as per their funny post on GEMS life when Gael complained about Elina’s “obsession” with healthy food.
