Isner wins all-American final in Atlanta

John Isner wins his 2nd consecutive tournament in Atalanta after he triumphed in Newport the week before.

The American hasn’t dropped a single set in both events, and he clinched the title in Georgia after he defeated Ryan Harrison 7-6 (6) 7-6 (7). Harrison lost the match in both breakers after he squandered a 4-2 lead in the first and a 4-1 lead in the second.

It was a battle. ISNER

This is Isner’s 12th career title the second of the year, the 4th in Atlanta. After the match, the American commented

“It was a battle. I needed every ounce of my energy out there, but I’m so happy to win this tournament again. This tournament has meant everything to me. This is always going to be my favorite time of year. I seem to play well in America every single year, so I couldn’t have asked for a better start.”
