Garbine Muguruza and Petra Kvitova are the top seeds and hot favorites to win the upcoming WTA premier event in Stanford.

Garbine has a bye in the first round and then she will probably face Misaki Doi, Ana KonJuh, and either Madison Keys or Maria Sharapova before getting to the final. This is the first time that Garbine plays a tournament after her triumph at Wimbledon.

On the other side, Petra is projected to face Francesca Schiavone, Cici Bellis, and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova before reaching the final.
