Early in May, Venus Williams was part of a horrific and fatal car accident that resulted in the death of Jerome Barson.
What happened
Venus was caught in a bad situation when she was stuck in the middle of an intersection. The tennis star tried to clear the way, but eventually, she was struck by a car.
You kind of violated their right, but
The police officer commented
“What seems to have happened is from the time that you entered North Lake Boulevard and stopped, the westbound light changed to green, and that car was westbound in the right lane, so you kind of violated his right of way,”
Then the officer acknowledged that Venus was just unlucky in being stuck in that situation.
