Garbine Muguruza wins the Wimbledon title after defeating Venus Williams 7-5 6-0 in the final.
The Spaniard didn’t start that well as her nerves made her commit a substantial array of errors on her forehand side. Eventually, Garbine kept her cool to win all her service games even Venus was on top of her.
The Key Moment
The key moment of the match was when Garbine saved 2 consecutive set point when she was on a 4-5 15-40 scoreline. Muguruza managed to hold serve to win the following 9 games with Venus disappearing completely especially in the second set.
This is the second major won by Garbine after she triumphed last year at the Roland Garros. The Spaniard reached the Wimbledon final also in 2015, but she lost to Serena Williams.
More to come…
