US OPEN. Medvedev fined after showing middle finger to crowd and snapping towel from ball boy

This is for how much Medvedev was fined after his wild night when playing against Feliciano Lopez.

Medvedev

Daniil Medvedev is having a rather adventurous run at the US Open. The Russian enjoyed a fantastic summer in North America after he reached the final in Washington and Montreal before winning the title in Cincinnati. His overall performance was so solid that he was considered as the only guy that could break the supremacy of the Big3 at the current slam.

However, Medvedev wasn’t so secretive in admitting that he has been struggling from a physical point of view in New York. The young Russian was extremely nervous when playing against Feliciano Lopez in the 3rd round. Daniil snatched a towel nervously from the hand of a ball boy to throw his racket at the umpire after he received the warning. Then Daniil showed the middle finger to the crowd after he was booed.

Things didn’t end over there. In fact, after he won the match he trolled the crowd asking them for more boos!

Medvedev fined $9,000

Eventually, the Russian was fined $9,000: $5,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct and $4,000 for a visible obscenity
