Murray may not play the US Open

Andy Murray had a rather tormented campaign in Wimbledon where he struggled with a painful hip injury. The Scot managed to reach the quarter-finals before capitulating to Sam Querry that got full advantage of Murray’s inability to properly move around the court.

Apparently, Andy went on Thursday for some consultations and he is expected to rest to avoid undergoing an injury to fix his hip. Therefore, he is not expected to play for the full length of the “American summer”, and he might take the decision to skip it all.

The world no.1 has recently stated that the decision of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal of taking long breaks could be a winning idea (well… both proved that it may sense), and therefore he might take this option.
