Ranked No. 3, Karolina Pliskova is in a good position to win a Grand Slam tournament in the coming future. The Czech tennis player will be entering the U.S. Open with an even more crowded slate, which will make it difficult for her to achieve her first win. But if there is one person who has the ability to pull off a standout performance, it is Pliskova. The former world No. 1 has a total of 19 WTA titles and 16 ITF titles, which gives her a prime position for a victory.
Karolina Pliskova bio, husband and family
Currently 27, Karolina was born as a twin to Radek and Martina Pliskova in the town of Louny in the Czech Republic. Pliskova saw tennis greats like Marat Safin and Martina Hingis growing up. While their professional careers blossomed later on their life, the Pliskova twins did not exactly have the rosiest childhoods. When they were 13, their father was arrested and sent to jail for two years because of tax fraud charges.
Pliskova is married to her TV presenter husband Michal HrdliÄŤka. Before their marriage, the two dated each other for three years. They got married in a ceremony in Monte Carlo in 2018, which was attended only by close family and friends.
