Djokovic reaches the Wimbledon quarters with a struggling shoulder

Novak Djokovic is not 100% happy following his straight sets win in the Wimbledon 4th round against Mannarino.

The Serbian sensation reaches the quarters without having dropped a serve, but he needs to grapple with a problem to his right shoulder that may complicate the rest of his ride.

Even if Mannarino is a difficult customer, there was never a doubt that Nole would have won this match. In fact, he conquered the contest with a straight sets scoreline 6-2 7-6 (5) 6-4.

About the shoulder. DJOKOVIC

Even if Nole was happy with his result, he had to admit that he has been struggling with his shoulder.

Nole commented

“I haven’t dropped a set yet at a grass-courts event. I’m very motivated to get as far as I can at this tournament. My shoulder is something I’ve been dragging back and forth for a while now. I’m still managing to play, though.”

Next vs. Berdych

Nole will face Tomas Berdych in the quarters. The head to head is 25-2 for Nole, but 1-1 on grass.

Djokovic commented

“[Berdych] He’s been around for many years, an established top 10 player, understands the occasion of playing big matches. I’m trying to play my best.”
