Dimitrov very confident ahead of Federer’s clash

Roger Federer and Grigor Dimitrov are about to clash in a blockbuster 4th round at Wimbledon. Both players reached the 2nd week without dropping a single set, and both showed off an excellent form

Grigor won the 3rd round after Dudi Sela withdrew when the Bulgarian was already leading 6-1 6-1; Roger defeated Mischa Zverev in 3 sets 7-6 (3) 6-4 6-4.

Why Grigor is confident

During the post-match press conference, Dimitrov commented

“Yeah, I think I’m just really focused on myself right now, on my game. That’s about it.

Whatever’s on the other side of the net, I mean, I can’t control it. I can control only what’s on my side, in my team, what I do to prepare myself the best way that I can before the match.

So, yeah, I mean, I’m pretty positive. I like my chances.”

About facing Roger, the Bulgarian commented

“Roger has proven himself more than once, twice out here. Yeah, we all know what to expect.

I’m not going to shy away from Centre Court. I’ve played there before, I’ve won. I know my way now to the Centre Court, which is great, not like the first time I walked out. Yeah, just going to embrace it.’

The head to head

Federer leads Dimitrov 5-0, 11-2 in terms of sets. The Swiss is the obvious favorite, but Grigor will do everything he can to spoil the party.
