Gulbis has great words for Ostapenko

Ernests Gulbis used to be the only tennis Latvian star for the past few years, now he will share that with 20-year-old Jelena Ostapenko.

During a recent press conference, the interviewer commented that Gulbis was Ostapenko’s idol when coming up.

I am extremely happy

Ernests commented

“It’s unbelievable. This is really unbelievable. I said it yesterday in a smaller press conference. It was just a couple of people. But I told my thoughts already.

I am extremely happy for her and for Latvia, that we have such a great player.”
