Venus Williams has been battling with her nerves right now not only because she is competing n Wimbledon, but also because she was involved in a fatal car crash in Florida a few weeks ago.
Initially, it seemed that Venus was at fault in the accident and the family of the victim (a 78-year-old man) sued the American star. On Friday, the police released a video that was the evidence that Venus entered the intersection without breaking the law when her traffic light was green. Unfortunately, the former world no.1 was stopped in the middle of the intersection by another car. Venus tried to clear the intersection, but it was too late.
Therefore, she is not responsible for the death of the unlucky man that was in the car that crashes against Venus’.
The American is still struggling with the memory of this experience, and earlier this week she had to walk away from a press conference in tears.
Now, she has been cleared.
