Zvever downs Tiafoe

Sascha was too strong for the American in Wimbledon.

Sascha Zverev was expected to face a tough test in the Wimbledon 2nd round against fellow #nextgen Frances Tiafoe, but eventually the German didn’t need to work that hard. Sascha defeated the American 6-3 6-4 6-3 without dropping a single serve and after conceding just one break point.

It’s a good start. ZVEREV

Sascha is elated with his current Wimbledon campaign after he won the first two matches in straight sets without putting too much energy in it.

The German commented

“It’s always nice to get a quick one in the beginning of the tournament. I’ve had two three-set matches now, which is very, very nice. I felt pretty good out there. Serving well, playing well from the baseline… I’m very happy to be through.”

Next vs. Ofner

Sascha will play the biggest surprise of the tournament Sebastian Ofner. The Austrian hasn’t won a single match a tour level in his young career before this Wimbledon where he has already defeated Bellucci and Sock. If Zverev wins his next match against Ofner, the German will get to the “second week” of a slam for the first time in his career.
