Novak Djokovic surprised everyone after he accepted a wildcard I Eastbourne to play the tournament just the week before Wimbledon.
Eventually, things got quite well for the former world no.1 that has managed to win the title without dropping a single set.
In the final, Nole dispatched Monfils 6-3 6-4.
This is Nole’s 68th career title and the 2nd of 2017 after Doha. It’s not a slam, but definitely a great start and a fantastic build-up for Wimbledon.
