Dimitrov reaches the quarters at Queen’s

Grigor Dimitrov wins the 2nd round at the Queen’s Club against Benneteau after a horrible start. The Bulgarian lost the very first game on his serve after committing three double faults. That was enough to lose the first set as the Bulgarian didn’t manage to break the Frenchman in the opener.

Things got a bit easier for Dimitrov later after he conquered a decisive break in the 4th game of the second set (3-1) and in the 5th of the decider (3-2). Eventually, Dimitrov won the contest 4-6 6-3 6-4.

Happy I won without playing well. DIMITROV

Grigor was happy with the win because he found the solution even if he didn’t compete at his very best. IN the post-match press conference the Bulgarian commented

“I’m just focusing on my things and what I have to do. The outcome was great. I’m just happy that I won the match and I think even happier that I didn’t play my best, and I won. I think with each match, the level gets higher and higher.”

Grigor will play a young gun in the quarters. That would be either Medvedev or Kokkinakis. Dimitrov would be the favorite against both of them.

CAN HE WIN HIS SECOND TITLE AT THE QUEEN’S CLUB?
