Dimitrov impresses at Queen’s

After a good first part of the season, Grigor Dimitrov started to struggle with his results. The Bulgarian was looking forward to rebounding on grass, but he fell at the first hurdle in Stuttgart at the hands of Jerzy Janowicz. Finally, Grigor has found his tennis at Queen’s where he played a fantastic match in the first round against Ryan Harrison to beat the American 6-3 6-1.

I felt confident. DIMITROV

In the post-match interview, Dimitrov commented

“Coming out on the grass courts, I always have high expectations from myself. This match just proved that I have practiced, I have done a lot of work on the court. I felt confident, which is very good. I was just happy to close the match in two sets and didn’t have to waste any more energy or anything like that. I’d like to build up from this match and go on with whatever is in front of me now.”

Grigor will play either Benneteau or Ward in the 2nd round.
