Stefanos Tsitsipas is not having a great moment during this part of the season.
The Greek sensation has just lost his 4th consecutive match at the US Open at the hands of his good friends Andrey Rublev that played extremely well. Unfortunately, the Greek sensation had to deal with some understandable nerves as he was also struggling from a physical point of view.
Stefanos was putting up a fierce fight even if he was cramping badly and his opponent was playing at his best. Things started to go south in the 4th set with the Greek trying to take as much time as he could.
During a change over when Stefanos was 3-4 down, the umpire urged the world no.8 to be quicker, and Tsitsipas ranted back to insult the umpire calling him an “old weirdo.”
The Greek eventually had a penalty point because he was taking too much time, but he didn’t receive any penalty for the insult. However, probably a hefty fine on the way.
Eventually, Tsitsipas lost the match 6-4 6-7 (5) 7-6 (7) 7-5.

After the match, the Greek looked spent to comment
“I feel like I’m doing the same thing all over again on the court, and my brain can’t take it anymore. I don’t feel inspired, I don’t feel like I’m chasing something”,
