Last week we had two main events in Nottingham and ‘s-Hertogenbosch that have created some changes in the rankings.
Konta
Jo reached the final in Nottingham where she lost to Donna Vekic after she was in full control of the match. Even if the last act of the tournament was a disappointment for the Briton, reaching the final allowed her to gain another place in the rankings to be the new world no.7.
Kontaveit
Annett has won her maiden title in ‘s-Hertogenbosch after she defeated Natalia Vikhlyantseva in the final. After this title, Kontaveit gains 13 places in the rankings to be the new world no.36 (career high). Much more to come and soon.
Vekic
Donna won her second career title in Nottingham to go up 12 places in the rankings and be the new world no.58 (career high)
Vikhlyantseva
Natalia is another interesting prospect. After reaching the final in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, she went nine places up to be the new world no. 65.
Mladenovic
Kiki reached the quarters in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Even if this wasn’t a dream run, it allowed her to gain one places in the rankings. She is the new world no.12 (career high).
Here the top30.
