Nick Kyrgios is about to start his grass court campaign after a horrible spell on clay when he recorded a 3-3 win-loss record. The Australian is training at the Queen’s Club, and he is now enjoying hs stay by Wimbledon Common with his family.

Nick had a very nice interview with Mike Dickson (Daily Mail) that reported some tasty anecdotes.

I tanked 8 tournaments of 18. KYRGIOS

Probably the most shocking (and sort of funny) stuff is how Nick is approaching tennis.

“Growing up I never thought that I would be a professional tennis player, never crossed my mind. So you’re the accidental tennis player? ‘You could say that, yeah.’

I played eighteen tournaments, and I probably tanked eight of them, but I’m still ranked in the top twenty.”

Then he added

“Some days it’s fun to play, but sometimes I’d rather be doing something else.  I’m on the road there are times when I find the motivation tough. I don’t like the long trips; I dread them. I hate the traveling.”

There are still doubts if this state of mind will help Nick to compete at the top. At the end of the day, that is his character. Take or leave it!
