WTA Rankings. Halep no.2, Wozniacki, no.7, Ostapenko no.12

We had a memorable edition of the French Open this year after Jelena Ostapenko got everyone by surprise after winning the title coming from nowhere.

After last fortnight, we have some significative changes in the rankings.

Halep

Simona was inches close from winning her first slam and become the new world no.1. She didn’t make it, but after reaching the final in Paris, she is just 185pts away from the world no.1 Angelique Kerber.

Wozniacki

After getting to the quarters in Paris, Caroline is finally back in the top10 after going up five places. She is now ranked no.7.

Ostapenko

Jelena made the biggest jump in the rankings after her triumph in Paris. She gained 35 places to be the new world no.12. More to come.

Mladenovic

Kiki had a good run in Paris to lose in the quarters to Timea Bacsinszky. The Frenchwoman gains one place in the rankings to be now the world no.13 (career high).

Here the top30.
