Andy Murray had a solid performance against the rising star Karen Khachanov in the Roland Garros 4th round. The Briton won the match 6-3 6-4 6-4 in 2 hours and 4 minutes after getting an early lead in all sets.
Commemorating the London victims.
Probably the most touching part of Murray’s day was the on-court interview held by Andy soon after the contest when he commemorated the victims of the recent terrorist attacks in the UK.
Andy commented
“It was a terrible tragedy in London, and also in Manchester, only six or seven days ago. Paris has had some problems in the last year or two.
I am sure everybody will join me in sharing their thoughts and prayers with everyone who has been affected by this. It’s something that has affected large parts of Europe and all over the world.
Obviously, we want things to keep getting better, and I appreciate people coming to the tennis, creating a great atmosphere. I am grateful that I’m able to perform in front of you.”
That was a nice thing to say.
Well done!
