Currently the world no.39, the Italian played his last match on the 7th of November when he surrendered to world no.27 Cameron Norrie 4-6 6-2 6-4 in the semifinal in Metz (draw).

He is also scheduled to play in Hong Kong (Hong Kong Tennis Open). The main draw will start on the 30th of December.
