Nadal annihilates Bautista Agut

Rafael Nadal keeps on progressing toward his 10th Roland Garros title in style.

The King of Clay annihilates Roberto Bautista Agut 6-1 6-2 6-2 without conceding anything to his compatriot. With this win, the Mallorcan reaches the quarters after losing only 20 games in the entire tournament. Interesting enough, this is not even a record for Rafa that conceded only 19 games until reaching the Roland Garros quarters in 2012.

When I am healthy, I am fine. NADAL

In the post-match press conference, Rafa commented

“If you’re healthy, it’s easy to play with good attitude and easy to practice, as well. At the end of the day, the only thing or the most important thing to be successful is the work. So if you are able to work, then
you have much more chances to have success. If you are not able to work, you’ll still have chances but fewer chances.

For a lot of moments in my career, I didn’t have the chance to work at the things that we wanted to put to work because of my physical issues. But that’s part of my career.”

The quarters against Carreno-Busta

Rafa will play another fellow Spaniard in the quarters: Pablo Carreno-Busta. The world no.21 has beat Raonic in a thrilling 5-setter 4-6 7-6 (2) 6-7 (6) 6-4 8-6. The head to head is 3-0 for Rafa that is expected to win also this match in straight sets.
