In a long interview with Repubblica, Lorenzo Musetti reflected on the difficulties of becoming a father at a young age. The Italian tennis player admitted that the arrival of his son Ludovico was both a shock and a joy. “The first child was an earthquake and a beautiful surprise. It was not planned, but we decided to keep him: I had to rethink my life. I was afraid of not being ready for the changes. Balancing family and tennis
Musetti highlighted the importance of finding happiness beyond trophies, while also recognizing the need for organization as a professional athlete. “There are not only trophies to give happiness, even if it is clear that as an athlete you have to organize yourself: luckily I can count on the grandparents. When we travel together to tournaments, Veronica and I sleep in separate rooms. For us athletes sleep is fundamental, useful to recover energy. But it is also necessary to return to the family and see that Ludovico moves me,” he concluded.
A journey of growth
Musetti’s reflections show how personal challenges have intertwined with his professional career, shaping him into a more mature and resilient athlete. Fatherhood, once a source of fear, has become a driving force that continues to inspire his performanc
