Naomi Osaka is set to join Meghan Markle in spreading holiday cheer this season. The four-time Grand Slam champion makes a cameo in the trailer for the Duchess of Sussex’s upcoming Netflix special, With Love, Meghan, which will premiere on December 3.
Celebrity guests joining the celebration
According to Netflix, Osaka will be joined by Prince Harry, celebrity chef Tom Colicchio, restaurateur Will Guidara, and Markle’s close friends Kelly Zajfen and Lindsay Roth. Together, they will “deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs” with the Duchess.
Osaka’s connection with the Sussexes
Though Osaka comes from the world of sport, she has previously crossed paths with the Duke and Duchess. In 2020, she appeared on an episode of their Archwell Audio podcast, reflecting on her US Open victory and the gratitude she found during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Osaka has been open about her struggles with mental health, and in 2021 she revealed in a TIME magazine essay that Meghan Markle was among those who reached out to support her during her break from tennis.
