The FIP Promises circuit will experience a significant change beginning in 2026. The four continental circuits of the worldwide youth competition—FIP Promises Europe, FIP Promises America, FIP Promises Asia/Oceania, and FIP Promises Africa—will replace the previous global format. In the Under 18, Under 16, Under 14, and Under 12 divisions, each circuit will have its own rankings for both men and women, leading up to the continental finals.
Globally expanding opportunities
In order to give young talent from every continent the opportunity to compete at the highest level, the reform seeks to expand accessibility and participation. Spain led the circuit with 13 events in 2025, followed by Brazil with 12, Italy with 10, and Portugal with 8. The circuit included 90 tournaments in 23 countries. The fact that countries like Egypt, Belgium, Ecuador, Germany, Chile, the Philippines, South Africa, and the United Kingdom participated further demonstrated the competition’s international scope.
Overthrowing European Dominance
Due in part to the fact that most events are held in Europe, European players have up until now dominated youth rankings. Players from Asia/Oceania, Africa, and America will have more chances to place highly and advance to the Finals starting in 2026. This change is anticipated to promote increased ambition, fiercer rivalry, and an improvement in the standard of play globally.
Considering 2027
A new worldwide circuit for players under the age of eighteen will be introduced in 2027, continuing the progression of FIP Promises. Ten international competitions and a final Master event, which is only open to the top-ranked players from each continental circuit, will make up this.
The Award for FIP Promises
The FIP Promises Award will be another novelty. The top 10 players in the world rankings starting in 2027 will have the chance to reserve spots for a few Premier Padel and Cupra FIP Tour tournaments the following season. This program aims to hasten the entry of young players into the professional padel scene, drawing inspiration from comparable tennis programs.
A worldwide perspective on padel
The long-term objective of the International Padel Federation is to expand the sport’s global reach, both in terms of participation and at the top level of competition. A significant step for fostering the next generation and guaranteeing that padel keeps expanding globally is the reorganization of FIP Promises.
