Emma Raducanu was set to participate in two exhibition events in Miami and Newark in December 2025, alongside Amanda Anisimova, Carlos Alcaraz, and João Fonseca. However, she withdrew due to light bone bruising in her right foot. Jessica Pegula has since replaced her in the lineup.

End of the 2025 season

Raducanu concluded her 2025 season at the Ningbo Open, where she lost in the first round to wild card Zhu Lin. Since then, she has taken time away from tennis, joining the England Rugby Union team for a practice session and celebrating her 23rd birthday.

Training in Barcelona

Following her withdrawal from the exhibitions, Raducanu will train in Barcelona with her coach Francisco Roig. Roig joined her team in August 2025 during the North American hard-court swing. He previously worked with Rafael Nadal from 2005 to 2022 and Matteo Berrettini from December 2023 to October 2024.

New support staff

Raducanu has also appointed Emma Stewart as her physiotherapist to oversee her strength and conditioning program. Stewart has experience working with the WTA and currently collaborates with the men’s squad at British Rowing.

2025 highlights

Raducanu’s best result this year was reaching the semifinals at the Citi DC Open. She also made quarterfinal runs at the Miami Open and the Queen’s Club Championships. At the Grand Slams, she reached the third round at the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open, while exiting in the second round at the French Open.

United Cup debut

Raducanu will begin her 2026 season at the United Cup, representing Great Britain from January 2 to 11. Matches will be held in Perth at the RAC Arena and in Sydney at the Ken Rosewall Arena. “I’m honored to be able to make my United Cup debut in January. Being able to play for Team GB with my teammates is a unique opportunity and a week to enjoy. It’s great to experience a new format on tour, represent my country and spend a couple of extra weeks in Australia,”

Raducanu said.

Team Great Britain lineup

Great Britain has been placed in Group E alongside Japan and Greece. The team will feature Raducanu, Jack Draper, Billy Harris, Mimi Xu, Lloyd Glasspool, and Olivia Nicholls.

2025 Highlights

Now the world no.29, the Brit played her last match on the 14th of October when she capitulated to world no.163 Lin Zhu 3-6 6-4 6-1 in the 1st round in Ningbo (draw).

Currently, during this year Emma has achieved an overall 28-22 match record. Emma Raducanu’s most significant result of the current year was reaching the semifinal in Washington.
