Unexpected events continue to influence the circuit as the 2025 padel season draws to a close with just a few tournaments remaining, including the Barcelona Finals. The reunion of Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno, who will play together again at the Mexico Major, is one of the most exciting stories.
The breakup with Juan Lebron
Although it had been expected, Franco Stupaczuk and Juan Lebron’s split was only officially announced during the Dubai Premier Padel P1. Leo Augsburger would be Lebron’s new partner for the rest of the year, he stated when he made the announcement. In order to close out the season on a high note, this left Stupaczuk and Di Nenno looking for new allies.
Farewell messages
The athletes posted sincere messages to their former teammates on social media. “Our journey together has come to an end,” wrote Franco Stupaczuk. We were competitive early in the season and made it to multiple finals, but we were eliminated from the race by the exceptional caliber and reliability of the top and number two pairings in recent years. In spite of everything, I’m thankful that we have managed to hold onto our ranking as the third pair thus far on this challenging circuit. @juanlebronc, I appreciate you fighting with me in every battle.
“Like I told you, THANK YOU and all the best, crazy guy, in the next stage @leo_augsburger,” Martin Di Nenno continued.
A third reunion
Di Nenno and Stupaczuk are once again shown together on the Mexico Major entry list, despite the players’ own lack of formal confirmation. After working together successfully in past seasons, this is their third time as partners. The pair intends to take advantage of their chemistry and strive for great outcomes in the latter part of 2025 now that they are more mature and experienced.
Considering the future
Even if their reunion could only last a short while, it’s an important part of the season. The ability of Di Nenno and Stupaczuk to challenge the supremacy of the top-ranked pairs and end the year with a standout performance will be eagerly anticipated by fans. Even though their collaboration is brief, it gives the season’s last tournaments more mystery and excitement.
