Jannik Sinner advanced to his third straight ATP Finals final after defeating Alex de Minaur in Turin. The Italian faced a challenging start but managed to raise his level as the match progressed. Reflecting on the victory, he said: “Very happy. The last event of the year. Great to finish in this way. It was a very tough match. Especially beginning of the first set. I felt like he was serving great. Very precise. In the 2nd set I managed to break very early. Then my level raced. I tried to be more aggressive which worked very well. It was a very tough match. Making 3 consecutive finals in Turin means a lot to me. It’s a great atmosphere. Great place for me to play tennis. Also a great place to close this beautiful season I’ve played in. Tomorrow I will enjoy. I’ll try my best to have the best possible result. In any case it has been an amazing week.”

The serve as a key weapon

Sinner’s serve has been one of the standout aspects of his game this season, particularly in Turin. Asked about how it became such a powerful tool, he explained: “Yeah, you know I felt like last year also at the end of the year I was serving much much better than throughout the year. This year has also been similar. I hope we will work a lot in the preseason to be ready for next season. Hopefully I can serve like this throughout the season. Making the serve as stable as possible. It has worked very very well. Especially in this tournament. Staying indoors helps you. It gives you a huge hand to be more confident. Very happy about the work we are doing. Let’s see what’s coming. Tomorrow is the last match of the season for me so I’m very happy to finish with a final.”

Turin embraces its champion

The atmosphere in Turin has been electric, with fans rallying behind their home favorite. Sinner’s ability to deliver under pressure has made him a central figure in Italian tennis, and his run of three consecutive finals at the ATP Finals highlights his consistency at the highest level.

With one match left to play this season, Sinner is determined to finish on a high note. His focus on maintaining a strong serve and aggressive play will be crucial as he aims to capture another title in front of his home crowd.

Jannik Sinner’s victory over Alex de Minaur not only secured his third consecutive ATP Finals final but also reinforced his status as one of the sport’s rising stars. His words reflect both satisfaction with his progress and determination to continue building on his success in the seasons to come.
