Kyrgios shines in doubles

Nick Kyrgios is trying to find his way in the top10 (singles), but in the meantime, he is still enjoying playing doubles with different partners. On Wednesday, Nick had a fun time with his compatriot and Davis Cup fellow player Jordan Thompson. The pair stunned the seeds no.2 and home favorite Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut 7-6(8) 4-6 6-3 even if this was the first time that the Australians played together.

I am excited. KYRGIOS

Nick was extremely happy with how he and Jordan played together because they may well represent a great option for Team Australian in the last phase of the Davis Cup.

Nick commented

“The Davis Cup the last three ties has been some of the best experiences I have had this year.

I’ve really looked forward to that. That’s kind of kept me going. When we have a Davis Cup tie, and then we play a couple of weeks after, I’ve just put in to create good habits to play in Davis Cup.

And it’s going to be awesome in Brussels, I think. I’m excited to be a part of that team with Lleyton, Jordan. Hopefully, obviously, with Thanasi coming back, it would be awesome to have him back as well.

And obviously, you have Peers and Groth playing great doubles. We will have the depth back as well.

The culture, it’s just fun, just a fun week. I think we can win it this year for sure.”

Kyrgios is scheduled to play on Thursday 12.30 against Kevin Anderson.

TOO MUCH FUN?
